Description

SEE NOTE 27--100% HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. (Contractor can get information on the HUBZONE Program at SBA website: www.wba.gov/hubzone). Work consists of placing approximately 4900 linear feet of sandbags along approximately 75% of the pe rimeter of Big Foot Slough Disposal Island near Ocracoke, NC. The sandbags will be placed 2 bags high (approximately 4 feet). It is anticipated that the sand for the sandbags will be obtained from the surrounding sound within approx. 10 feet waterward of the proposed sandbag alignment. Work is anticipated to start approx. mid-August 2004 and be completed in approx. 60 days. ESTIMATED COST RANGE OF THIS PROJECT IS $250,000-$500,000. Plans and specifictions will be issued on CD-ROM ONLY, on or about 11 M ay 2004 with bid opening on or about 10 June 2004. (The solicitation will be posted on the Wilmington District web page when issued: www.saw.usace.army.mil; Doing Business with us; Contracting Division; EBS Database). CD will be FREE of charge and shoul d not be returned. Amendments will be made through diskette, CD, or paper copy, and will also be posted on web page. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other documents required for bid submittal shall be in PAPER MEDIUM. Electronic medium for bid submittal S HALL NOT BE ALLOWED.
