Description
The contractor shall support AFTAC in a tracer release project. This support includes acquisition of supplies, monitoring equipment, and advising on perfluorocarbon tracer chemical (PTC) (oPDCH) releases. AFTAC will conduct the project with training and guidance provided by the contractor. The contractor must have expertise in PTC technology arid practical experience in both field collection and precision analysis of samples. Support may include the acquisition of up to 50kg of (oPDCII) tracer material supporting 15 independent tracer releases measurable at distances of 1000 miles from the source release point. The project is planned for the summer of 2004 and is expected to last for several months. A maximum of two tracer sampler units are required, one each for a ground and airborne sampling platform. Approximately 100 samples requiring analysis will be taken and reported to AFTAC within 3-weeks of receipt of samples. AFTAC will be responsible for deploying and supporting sampling operations in the field and will be responsiblc for getting the samples back to the contractor for analysis. Thc contractor will provide training on sampler operations to government personnel and may be required to provide assistance via phone support while the samplers are deployed. Contractor should provide information on experience and cost breakdowns for tracer material (50kg), sampler rental/purchase, unit sample analysis, training, and other costs to support this project.The funding level for this work is budgeted at $75K. This is a candidate for Firm Fixed Pricing. All interested firms should submit a capabilities package that outlines the firm?s capabilities in providing the required services. The capabilities package should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements.
