- Description
- The Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking Otorhinolaryngologist Services for various IHS hospitals and health centers for the Billings Area IHS population. The contractor(s) will be required to provide clinics and surgeries at the IHS hospitals and/or health centers. Major duties: (1) Perform operative and invasive otologic, rhinologic, laryngologic and plastic surgical procedures, inpatient and outpatient, to patients in need of surgical intervention each month. (2) Evaluate and treat patients with possible ear, nose, and throat related disorders on a routine basis each month and for specialty clinics as scheduled for facial anomalies clinics. (3) Provide onsite and telephone consultation to IHS physicians and mid-level providers related to case treatment and intervention, and to ENT nurse practitioner for clinical issues and specific cases. (4) Provide on-call referral system for any emergency referrals from IHS medical staff. And, (5) Provide in-service training. The IHS reserves the right to award multiple fixed-price commercial item purchase orders as a result of this solicitation. The purchase orders shall be awarded pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, FAR 37.1, Personal Services Contracts (Public Law 103-332 as implemented by 25 U.S.C. 1638c), and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items (Title VIII of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-355)). The contractor(s) shall be subject to a character investigation as required by Public Law 101-630, Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act and Public Law 101-647, Crime Control Act. The contract(s) will be awarded for a base year with 4 12-month options.
