Description

Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a delivery order to BAE Systems, Information and Electronic Warfare Systems, for the field support of the test and evaluation activities of the Integrated Defensive Electronic Counter Measures (IDECM) Radio Frequency Countermeasures Subsystem under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-03-G-0042. This order is for the Reel-Out Reel-In (RORI) Risk Reduction Prototype Demonstration For Fiber Optic Towed Decoys. The contractor shall test, and assess the impact of incorporation of advanced tow and signal cable designs for the IDECM RFCM system. This effort will provide risk reduction to the design and fabrication of a non-pyro RORI Fiber Optic Decoy Magazine prototype. The RORI design shall be compatible with the existing 1X2 Dual Compatible Launcher (DCL) to be employed on the F-15 weapon system. This effort includes all test and evaluation activities during the development and operational testing. BAE Systems is the sole designer and developer of the AN/ALQ-214 and the ALE-55, and is also the only known source available to provide the required effort and expertise. The period of performance will be in effect until 8 months after the date of contract award. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
