Description
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Rix Industries Inc to initiate an Interim spare and repair parts as a modification to the existing contract N68335-03-C-0250 for the production of the Mobile Nitrogen Gas Generator PN 3758AS100-1. The required delivery is within 180 days after date of award. The Government intends to negotiate this Interim spares procurement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The government does not own data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. Rix Industries Inc,4900 Industrial Way, Benicia CA, CA, 94510, and their major subcontractor are the designers and manufacturers of the Mobile Nitrogen Gas Generator, and is the only known firm possessing the knowledge, experience and technical expertise necessary to fulfill the Navy?s requirements. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Navy anticipates the award to be firm fixed price contract. No solicitations will be available for this procurement.
