- Description
- Repair/replace deteriorating and failed heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems with Ground Source Heat Pumps and associated geothermal well fields. The deteriorating and failed HVAC units are located in headquarters, classrooms, barracks, and a dministrative buildings at various locations on the Post. Work at one building includes removal and replacement of the entire HVAC system in the specified work area, electrical upgrades, data and telephone upgrades, modifications to existing fire protect i on system, bathroom renovations, systems furniture set-up and tear down, and retrofit of existing courtyards into office space (installation of roof over courtyard space and foundation work required). The ground source heat pump systems installed at the o ther five buildings is limited to installing hybrid ground source heat pump systems and associated geothermal well fields. Asbestos is present in some of the six building work locations. The estimated cost range of this project is between $5,000,000 a nd $10,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about April 15, 2004, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be pro vid ed in a printed hard copy format.
