- NOUN: Tube Assy; NSN: 4710-01-503-4783NZ; P/N: 4087061-01; QTY 1515; U/I: Each; DELEVERY: Sept, 2004 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW220/220E Engine; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 5.562 INCHES x .750 INCHES; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: AMS 5643 SSX; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Assembly mounts on external 1200 position on F100PW220/220E engine to prevent residual oil from draining into the #5 bearing compartment on post shut down. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 19 April 2004; Anticipated Award date:28 May 2004. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are not available. Qualification Requirements are available upon request. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Pratt & Whitney. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
