Description
The project is located at the Lower Willow Creek Reservoir approximately 20 miles southwest of Drummond, Montana, and 8 miles west of Hall, Montana. This project consists of placing a two-line grout curtain in a portion of the foundation on the Lower Willow Creek Dam in order to reduce seepage. The curtains shall extend for approximately 200 feet along the dam and include a fan of holes from vertical to 45 degrees into the hillside on the left abutment. Holes in the dam are to be drilled and cased in order to permit grouting the foundation. The dam height varies from 0 feet to approximately 90 feet at this location. The depth of the curtain will be determined based on grout takes and permeability testing, however, it is anticipated this depth will be approximately 40 feet below the bottom of the core trench. Estimated quantities based on drilling and grouting to these depths are as follows: Drilling Embankment and Overburden ? 3,260 LF; Drilling Foundation ? 2,811 LF; and Placing Grout ? 4,200 CF. The estimated project price range is $500,000-$1,000,000. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 237990 ? Construction management, dam. A site visit is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on May 5, 2004. The site visit will start at the USDA Service Center at 105 South Holland, Philipsburg, Montana; participants will then travel to the actual construction site. Written notification of your intent to attend the site visit is requested no later than April 27, 2003. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be released on the Federal Business Opportunities page at www.Fedbizopps.gov on or about April 16, 2004. Hard copies will not be provided. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
