- Description
- The Forest Service will be accepting offers for the Lower South Fork Road Decommissioning, Phase 1. This project involves work consisting of clearing vegetation, excavation, removal of CMP's, placing of riprap with geotextile, mulching and seeding. LOCATION: The project area is located on the Salmon River Ranger District of the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County, California. From Yreka, proceed south and west on State Highway 3 (Fort Jones Road) to Etna and the junction with County Road 1C01 (the Etna Sawyers Bar Road). Proceed west on 1C01 approximately 40 miles to the Forks of Salmon. See solicitation for locality map for roads in this area to be decommissioned. PREBID TOUR: A pre-bid tour is NOT scheduled. CONTRACT TIME: 78 calendar days. Estimated price range: Between $250,000 and $500,000. Work is estimated to start approximately June 1, 2004. Solicitation estimated issue date is April 16, 2004, with an estimated due date of May 17, 2004. The solicitation will be posted at this website for viewing and printing.
