Description
The Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna Site located in New Cumberland, PA has a requirement for inspection and repair of Raymond Model 89 Hybrid Lifts. Repairs to the Model 89 Raymonds shall consist of repair of cracks found on the vertical mast of the unit as identified by non-destructive testing by qualifed engineers. To date, the cracks have been limited to panel points and butt splices on the large main mast tube. All repairs will be completed by certified welders and inspected by an ASNT (American Society of Non-Destructive Testing) certified inspector using approporiate ultra sound and/or magnetic particle testing techniques. All repairs will be documented to include dates, specific detail of the repair and a signed statment by the inspector certifying each repair point. Inspection will include forty (40) Raymond Model 89 Hybrid Lift?s masts for cracks and other weld deficiencies. The entire inspection procedure will be supervised and directed by an experienced Professional Engineer. The inspections will be performed by an ASNT (American Society of Non-destructive Testing) certified inspector utilizing visual, as well as, the appropriate magnetic particle and/or ultrasonic testing techniques. The contractor will be responsible for any and all equipment and material used in performing inspections. The contractor shall submit four copies of full documentation for the results of the inspection. The inspections will be completed and full documentation delivered within one hundred and twenty calendar days of the start date identified by the government. The Contractor shall provide the following: Experienced Professional Engineer to supervise and direct inspection procedures; ASNT Certified Inspector to perform inspections; All personal protective equipment, safety equipment and licenses required by the government; High lift and fuel utilized in performing the inspection; Administrative personnel to document the inspection. The elctronic request for solicitation package will be available on-line for release to the general public on or about 16 APR 2004. To receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registeration is available via the Internet at www.ccr.gov. This solcitation will be posted to FED BIZ OPPS at www.eps.gov.
