Description
Bi-directional carriage Oval track 4'-8.5" rails Remote computer control of speed and direction (2mph to 35mph +/-10% of speed set by user/computer) Able to support and move a 5kg source 5m in the vertical direction at 10cm increments and a width of +/-3m from the centerline in increments of 10cm This carriage is used to carry a 5 kg load around the track. The carriage maximum speed is 35 miles per hour (will accept lower speed if vendor can not meet this but meets other requirements). The load should be able to move vertically (up & down) and horizontally left and right as shown on sketch. Sketches available upon request. Shown below is a sketch of the 2-rail track (not to scale). The carriage will follow the track in a clockwise or counterclockwise manner (bi-directional) using a 75-ft section to speed up and slow down. 35-mph should be maintained at the 100-ft sections. The speed should be able to vary from 2-mph to 35-mph +/-10% of speed set by user/computer. Shown below are the minimum and maximum dimensions of the 5-kg source, respectively (not to scale). The requirement is to secure the source to the carriage so that the orientation of the source is fixed. (Maybe strap the source to a platform or use pinchers to hold in place.) Shown below are the maximum and minimum dimensions, respectively, of the cross-sectional area that the carriage platform needs to operate (not to scale). The carriage platform needs to be able to travel in this area in 10-cm intervals in the vertical and horizontal directions
