- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking potential sources capable of overhauling the following Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs in accordance with current OEM specifications and standards: (1) Stock Number 2010-01-12-307-6892, 378? WHEC Type 1, Style A, P/N 8345940-LH; (2) Stock Number 2010-12-307-6891, 378? WHEC Type 1, Style B, P/N 8345940-00RH; (3) Stock Number 2010-01-119-5469, 270? WMEC, Type 3, Style A, P/N 901-WMEC-245-003-LH; (4) Stock Number 2010-01-118-8538, 270? WMEC, Type 3, Style B, P/N 901-WMEC-245-003-RH, all originally manufactured by Escher Wyss; (5) Stock Number 2010-01-421-3952, 225? WLM, Type 4, Style B, P/N 110252110; (6) Stock Number 2010-01-092-0440, 210? WMEC, Type 6, Style A, P/N D066LA02000; (7) Stock Number 2010-01-091-5056, 210? WMEC, Type 6, Style B, P/N D066RA02000RH, all originally manufactured by Rolls-Royce Naval Marine; (8) Stock Number 2010-01-268-5698, 378? WHEC, Type 2, Style A, P/N 14485-D-LH; (9) Stock Number 2010-01-268-5697, 378? WHEC, Type 2, Style B, P/N 14485-D-RH; (10) Stock Number 2010-01-143-5217, 210? WMEC, Type 5, Style A, P/N 13337-D-LH; and Stock Number 2010-01-141-3494, 210? WMEC, Type 5, Style B, P/N 13337-D-RH, all originally manufactured by Propulsion Systems Inc. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts shall be utilized in the overhaul of these Hubs. These contracts will require the use of authorized repair facilities for Escher Wyss, Rolls-Royce Naval Marine, and Propulsion Systems, Inc. The Government anticipates awarding three separate requirements contracts, each consisting of one (1) base year and four (4) option years, to each OEM identified herein and/or their authorized repair facility. It is the Government?s belief that only the Original Equipment Manufacturer?s identified herein and/or their authorized repair facilities, possess the engineering and technical data and capabilities to repair these items while ensuring the proper form, fit, and function of all its components. Concerns, other than the OEM?s or their authorized repair facilities, having the expertise and required capabilities to overhaul the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily overhauled for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturers. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate their capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. See Numbered Notes 12, 22, and 26. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and HSAR 3006.302-1.
