- This is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541710 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by small businesses and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will post the solicitation on or about April 16, 2004 in Federal Business Opportunities. The contractor shall review selected components and provide technical expertise to NRC staff on materials engineering issues for the ACR-700 reactor design during pre-application review with an option at the discretion of the NRC to extend the contract to continue during design certification review. The technical expertise will assist the NRC in evaluating the integrity and safety of important selected components in the ACR-700 operating environment.
