Description
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is seeking mediators for its internal alternative dispute resolution program, RESOLVE. The RESOLVE Program mediates workplace disputes filed with the program by EEOC?s employees. The RESOLVE Program is located and managed in Washington, D.C., but the EEOC has 51 field offices nationwide. When an employee working in a field office brings a workplace dispute to the RESOLVE Program, the mediation of that dispute occurs in the city where the employee is located. We are seeking contract mediators to ensure that the program has mediators available in each city where EEOC has a field office. We are primarily interested in mediators on the west coast, southeast and southwest. However, we are also considering national or regional contractors who can provide mediation services to several EEOC offices. All mediators must meet the qualification standards described in Chapter 3 of the EEOC?s Management Directive (MD)-110. Those qualifications are: (1) at least 20 hours of basic mediation skills training; (2) at least 3 co-mediations with a qualified mediator or five independent mediations and positive evaluations from a qualified trainer/evaluator; and (3) at least two verifiable references from two qualified mediators or trainer/evaluators. Mediators must also possess knowledge of federal personnel procedures, policies and practices and the laws governing federal sector EEO. For consideration in the selection process, please submit a brief capability statement. If you are interested in a national or regional contract, please describe your capability to provide mediation services for the EEOC on a regional or national basis. If you hold a GSA Schedule Contract, please provide the contract number and expiration date. To be eligible for consideration, potential contractors must be registered under the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) with a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number. You may obtain a DUNS number at the website http://www.dnb.com. Please visit www.ccr.gov for registration details. The CCR Assistance Center can be reached toll free at (888) 227-2423 if you encounter any problems. Interested mediators may submit their curriculum vitae to Irene Hill, EEOC Resolve Program, 1801 L Street NW, 3rd Floor, Washington, DC 20507. Please submit statements electronically to www.irene.hill@eeoc.gov. Capability statements must be received not later than close of business, 4:00 pm, on April 9, 2004.
