Description
This announcement amends the previously issued announcement under the same solicitation number. The National Park Service, Boston National Historical Park will be negotiating a lease of the historic Hoosac Stores Warehouse in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The facility, built in 1895, is 60,000 square feet and occupies 6 stories at 115 Constitution Road, Charlestown, Massachusetts. The property is located beginning on the Southeasterly side line of Water Street, and at land of United States of America; thence running South 57? 43' 22" West two hundred ninety-three and 57/100 (293.57) feet and North 32 ?08' West, ninety-eight and 72/100 (98.72) feet to said Water Street, two-hundred, forty seven and 51/100 (247.51) feet to the point of beginning, be all said measurements, more or less, said parcel containing about 26, 615 square feet (0.61 of an acre) of land. The property is suitable for educational, museum or cultural use, conversion to hotel, office, time shares or other uses appropriate to a large brick structure located on the waterfront next to the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, overlooking the USS Constitution. The property is along Boston's Freedom Trail and at the edge of the residential neighborhoods of Charlestown. Lessee will be responsible for the design, construction, financing and operations of the facility. The building is on the National Register of Historic Properties and adaptive use must be in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Rehabilitation of Historic Properties. The Proposal package will not be posted on the NPS Electronic Commerce website, but will be available in hardcopy for all interested parties by submitting a request in writing for the Proposal package to the following address: Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA 02129-4543, Attn: W.
