Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is seeking contractors to provide portable classrooms or relocate portable classrooms to selected BIA school sites within the continental United States except Alaska. The Bureau anticipates awarding up to eight (8) (2 contracts per region) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contracts (ID/IQ), to cover the following primary regions of the United States: Northwest: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana; Southwest: Arizona and New Mexico; North Central: North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin; South Central: Oklahoma and Mississippi. Each contract may have a minimum value of $70,000.00 and the sum of all delivery orders issued under each contract shall not exceed $1 million annually. Duration of each contract will be for one-year with two, one year option periods. Work will be authorized by issuance of delivery orders under each ID/IQ. NAICS codes 332311 and 321992 are applicable to this solicitation. Firms seeking consideration for award shall have demonstrated professional qualifications and capabilities for the performance of the following services: Fabrication of portable classroom(s), Transportation and Installation. The contractor will fabricate the portable classroom(s) in accordance with Bureau furnished plans and specifications. The basic size of a single classroom is approximately 900 sq. ft. and will contain male and female restrooms and an exterior wall mounted HVAC unit. The contractor will not be required to provide furnishings for the classroom(s). Transportation of the classroom(s) to each school site shall be made in accordance with required local, state, and federal transportation safety regulations. Combined classrooms exceeding 2000 sq. ft. are to be equipped with an automatic fire protective sprinkler system. Classroom installation shall be completed in accordance with Bureau accepted codes and standards. It is anticipated that minimal site preparation and utility extensions will be required. In most cases, site location of the classroom(s) will be feasible and without major obstructions. Potential firms will be evaluated based on 1) Location; 2) Capability based on record of past performance, bonding records, and references provided; (3) Costs of classroom fabrication per square foot; 4) Costs of transporting classrooms per mile; and 5) Costs of installing utilities per linear foot. Qualified firms meeting the requirements listed and having the capability and capacity to perform services described in this announcement are invited to respond by submitting a written request to the procurement office listed within thirty (30) calendar days from date of this notice.
