Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is seeking potential contractors to contract potential supplies/services needed for the Removal of existing local Area Network Infrastructure and Replace with New Network Infrastrucutre. Work will consist of two phases. Phase I will consist of installing 4 category 6 plenum patch panel, one twelve (12) strand multi mode fiber optice cable in inner duct, and necessary category 6 jacks and faceplate in the desinated area offices and conference room located on the second floor. Install 12 strand fiber optic cable, muti mode from a designated closet area on the second floor to a existing sever room on the first floor. Old infrastructure will not be removed or disconnected before new cabling is installed, tested, and ready for connection. Contractor shall be responsible for testing all cabling before installation and shall provide to the government a one electronic copy and one hard copy of the new design infrastructure and tesing results. Install vertical and horizontal wire management for swing out wall mount racks. Phase II of this project will consist 4 category 6 plenum patch panel, one twelve (12) strand multi mode fiber optice cable in inner duct, and necessary category 6 jacks and faceplate in the desinated area office areas located on the first floor. Contractor will be required to conduct an on site visit to examine the facility infrastructure and determine the length of cabling required to perform the work. All cabling shall be colored coded in accordance with Government's infrustructure guidelines. Contractor shall submit to the government a diagram of the new infrastructure as describe in the statement of work. This project will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Any material that is unlabled or if lable is suspect will be will be treated as hazardous unless known, tested and found to be otherwise. The contractor shall inspect and certify the proper removals and installation according to all applicable regulations. The contractor shall provide to closure report that includes the results of testing, removed, and disposed cabling. The location of the work to be preformed is located at 711 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville Tn 37214 and the Government estimated cost for phase I and II combined is between $25,000 and $60,000. The Government intents to award a contract not later than April 2004. Contractor shall have the capability to inspect and certify by certificate for proper removal and installation of required work. The response received from this posting will be used to compile a list of potential sources for supplies/services. In particular, the Government is seeking to identify qualified and licensed vendors that can perform the required work. This is not a notice for request for quotes, request for proposal, or invitation for bid issuance. This is not a solicitation for any type of requirement at all. This posting's purpose is only to uncover potential sources when the government has the requirement. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into in any form of contract with any person, firm or other entity that receives this inquiry. The inquiry neither states or implies that furture contracts will be awarded to persons, firms, or other entities responding to this inquiry. However, there may be possibility for future business if/when the Government has a need in response to this notice.
