Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's Acquisition Management System(AMS) Section 3.2.1.3.12, the FAA Alaskan Region is announcing that it has a requirement to contract for weather observation services for six airport locations in the State of Alaska; Anchorage, Ft. Yukon, Gulkana, Northway, Sitka, and Tanana. The requirement is for the base year, FY 2004, with four option years through FY 2008. The anticipated award date is June 1, 2004. This requirement is subject to the Service Contract Act. This is full and open competition. The solicitation closes April 30, 2004. All questions/comments must be submitted in writing by no later than 2:00 PM Alaska time, April 15, 2004. Questions/comments should be addressed to Theresa A. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for tansportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
