- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Panama City FL intends to issue a Sole Source Purchase Order to Carleton Technologies Inc, 3018 Highway 301 North, Suite 800, Tampa, FL 33619-2266 for three prototype MK 16 MOD 0 Underwater Breathing Apparatuses for test and evaluation purposes. The MK 16 MOD 0 UBA is being transferred from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Program office to the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) office. As part of this change, several improvements unique to NSW are being investigated. The electronics modernization program is one of the improvements under consideration. Carleton Technologies is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the MK 16 MOD 0 UBA. As the OEM, Carleton Technologies is the only company that can provide the prototype MK 16 MOD 0 UBA units with the new electronic modules. These prototype units are critical for the transition of the MK 16 MOD 0 form EOD to NSW. Carelton Technologies is the only source due to their unique qualifications as the Sole Source manufacturer of the MK 16. NAICS code is 541990. Size Standard is 500. FSC code is 4220.
