- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following items: Four-Hundred and Ten (410) Seagate 9GB S/E Disk Drives (ST39173N). These specific models are required to duplicate the Aegis Baseline 7 Phase 1 Cruiser (7P1C) Program Generation, Program Test and Program Production suites at the Aegis land based facilities. Please note: Because the U.S. Navy has the Software capabili ty to re-size disk drives, the drives listed will be supported. The lot may consist of a combination of the following Seagate disk drives also: ST318418N 18GB, firmware 0003,0003; ST318417N 18GB, firmware 0105, 0105; ST39216N 9GB, any firmware; and ST336918N 36GB, firmware 0003,0003. Refurbished items are acceptable. These drives will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The closing date will be March 30, 2004 at 2:00PM Eastern Standard Time with an anticipated award date of April 1, 2004. All items will be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, Virginia. Delivery shall be 30 days after receipt of order. The GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE. Electronic quote submission is encouraged to XDS12@nswc.navy.mil, but the quote may also be faxed to (540)653-4089 or delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Attn: SD123, Bldg. 183, room 104, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100.
