Description
USNS MOUNT BAKER - Removal of Mark I radars 3 & 10 CM, using existing foundations and pedestals. Procure and replace with the New Raytheon NSC BDE. Attend sea trails in conjunction with shipyard sea trial. NOTE: The NSC radars are new on the market. If this system is not available by August 01-04, Raytheon will install the MK2 system in its place. WHen the NSC is available, Raytheon will replace MK2 system with new system, at NO COST to MSC. This includes all removal and installation costs and wiring, testing out system and training, new manuals. This radar swap out will take place at MSC's convenience due to ships deployment schedule. This agreement will be a line item on the quote. Provide all labor, material, during shipyard period. Only services available in shipyard to contractor will be crane services maximum of 4 lifts to perform the following: 1. Provide and install software upgarde for 3CM and 10 CM Radars to latest configuration, NSC Raytheon. 2. Upgrade 10CM and 3CM Radar displays to proivde radar displays to remote flat screen monitor(NSC Unit). 3. Contractor demonstrates satisfactory operation to ships navagator. Obtain work completion signature by the ship's Master or Chief Engineer. Upon completion submit a written report to MSC Rep. 4. Contractor provides training to minimum of three mates. Provde on hands training with Ship's ET for basic troubleshooting of system.5. Provide two copies of manuals one to be given to Bridge personnel, the other to Chief Engineer. 6.Give copies of warranties to Ships Master and also MSC Rep.7. Provide list of manufacturers recommended spare parts.8. Remove existing radar displays and send them to (RRAMS)
