Description

This project shall include but not be limited to the following: Base roof repair or replacement at Travis AFB, CA. The above description of work is for general information only. It is not intended to describe every feature of items of work or to define the scope of work. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP), IDC Requirements, Price Performance Tradeoff (PPTO) solicitation. The proposed contract will be FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION if we don't receive HUB Zone participants. Price Preference for Hub Zone procedures will be applied in accordance with FAR PART 19. If you are a certified HUB Zone contractor and interested in this requirement contact the base contracting officer listed below and provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: (a) SBA Certification of HUB Zone eligibility; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of recent, relevant experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles dollar amounts and points of contact with telephone numbers; (d) your available bonding for this project. All the above must be submitted in sufficient detail with in ten (10) days after the publication of this notice or the solicitation will be issued unrestricted pursuant to the competiveness demonstration program. Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than lower offeror. Performance period projected is for a base period from date of award until 30 Sep 05 and four 12-month option periods. Magnitude of construction is between $5M - $10M. All responsible offerors must be CCR registered to be considered for award. The closing date and time for submission of a proposal is on or about 24 May 04; 2:00 P.M, PST. The solicitation package will be posted on Electronic Posting System (EPS), on or about 24 Apr 04, which can be accessed at http://www.eps.gov/. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation package or unofficial plan holder list. The unofficial plan holder list can also be obtained on the EPS site. Facsimile, telephone, written, or email request for the solicitation package or unofficial plan holder list will not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the EPS site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. Prospective offerors that plan to download the solicitation are requested to submit the company name, address, including zip plus four, phone number, fax number, point of contact, email address, DUNS number, and business classification (large, small, disadvantage, 8(a), hub zone, woman owned, disabled veterans, etc.) via email to: robert.brown@travis.af.mil, with courtesy copy to jane.bailey@travis.af.mil for inclusion on the unofficial source list. NOTE: The response date cited above is an estimate, not an actual.
