- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to the University of Alabama, Department of Gynecology, Birmingham, Alabama. The consultant will assist in the oversight and investigation on the conduct of a CDC clinical trial to be conducted in Lusaka, Zambia. The consultant will have experience in monitoring of HIV/AIDS and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) trials in international settings, preferably in sub-Saharan Africa. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1 (a)(ii)(B). Firms who believe they can provide the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
