Description
The Lewis and Clark National Forest, headquartered in Great Falls, Montana, is advertising for road maintenance on both the Rocky Mountain and Jefferson Divisions. The Rocky Mountain Division is located near Choteau and Augusta, Montana in Glacier, Pondera, Teton and Lewis & Clark Counties. The Jefferson Division is near the Montana towns of White Sulphur Springs, Harlowton, and Stanford in Cascade, Meagher, Wheatland, Choteau, Judith Basin and Fergus Counties. The work consists of providing all labor, equipment, materials (excluding government-furnished crushed gravel) transportation, quality control and supervision necessary to perform road blading on both native surface and crushed aggregate surface roads. Work also includes construction of new water bars and rolling dips plus the cleaning of culvert catch basins and cattle guards. In addition, government furnished crushed gravel is to be hauled, placed and compacted on some Forest roads. This is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), with a base period and two one-year option periods, and multiple awards are anticipated. Minimum orders per year total $50,000 for all awards and geographical divisions as outlined above. Maximum orders per year total $300,000 for all awards and geographical divisions as outlined above. The anticipated contract will be awarded on a Best Value basis. The acquisition is set-aside for small businesses. The RFP is not currently available but is scheduled to be issued in March 2004. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry at http://www.ccr.gov/. A template containing the information necessary for registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov/handbook.cfm. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000 (including base plus option years). A Pre-proposal site visit is not scheduled.
