Description

Jackknife Creek Barrier Culvert Replacement: Project consists of removal of an existing corrugated metal pipe and installation of a new embedded 171"x110" pipe arch that will allow fish passage. Work includes culvert removal and installation, placing crushed aggregate, and placing riprap. Instream work must occur between July 1 and August 15. The contractor may close Road 250 in the vicinity of the construction for up to 3 weekdays (Monday through Thursday) during this time period. The project is located at milepost 34 on the Pierce-Superior Road 250, approx. 34 miles northeast of Pierce, Idaho along the North Fork of the Clearwater River near Weitas Creek. Access is via State Highway 11 and Forest Road 250. The pre-bid tour will be held on May 12, 2004. Prospective bidders desiring to take part in the pre-bid tour may make arrangements by contacting either Norm Steadman, Anne Connor, or Monte Joersz at the Supervisor's Office, Clearwater National Forest, Orofino, Idaho by 3:00 P.M., Pacific Standard Time, on May 7, 2004.
