Description
This Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) announcement constitutes a Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) to develop Transponded Ka/Ku for FAB-T through modification of the Family of Advanced Beyond line of sight - Terminals (FAB-T) Contract F19628-02-C-0048, awarded to the Boeing Company, 3370 Miraloma Avenue, Anaheim, CA. Transponded Ka/Ku is a concurrent development to the baseline FAB-T development in line with the original intentions set forth the FAB-T program Single Acquisition Management Plan (SAMP). The government intends to contract with the Boeing Company as the only holder of a FAB-T contract under authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". In this case the United States Air Force (USAF) may deem products and/or services to be available only from the original sources in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized products or services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements (see 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B)). This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the government as to the ultimate acquisition approach, nor should this notice be construed as a commitment. Call Ms. Janice E. Sullivan at (781) 271-5485 or email at Janice.Sullivan@hanscom.af.mil with questions regarding this notice. Interested subcontractors should contact Boeing directly. See Note 26.
