- Description
- This acquisition is an 8(a) set-aside for a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Contract for airfield pavements. This acquisition is being synopsized under NAICS Code 237310, small business size standard of $28,500,000.00. The contractor will furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials for site preparation, demolition, repair, alteration, maintenance, replacement, and minor construction of flexible and rigid airfield pavements systems. Work may also include, but is not limited to any of the following: diamond grinding/profiling, adjusting existing utility valves, manholes and similar structures to conform to new pavement grade; installing new storm inlets to include storm sewer pipes; sealing of random pavement cracks; applying fog and slurry seals; and providing required pavement markings. Place of Performance: Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. Period of performance and Magnitude: The awarded contract will have a one (1) year base with four (4) one (1) year option periods. The initial construction period will be 365 days from the date of award. The estimated cost of the project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 for the life of the contract. This range does not necessarily reflect the proximity of the actual estimated cost. The Government intends to award on a Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) with a technical acceptability basis. When the solicitation is downloaded, it is important to read the solicitation COMPLETELY, as there are milestones that MUST be met by the prospective offeror in order for their proposal to be considered responsive. There will be no pre-announcement of when the solicitation will be available, however, the issuance date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about 6 April 2004, with a closing date 30 days after issuance.
