Description
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the l information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)2001-20. This solicitation is being issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 532112 and the Business Size Standard is $5,000,000.00 dollar threshold. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. All items described in this announcement will be awarded on an aggregated basis (all or none), and must meet or exceed the following: four (4) vehicles to include; one (1) pick-up truck, one (1) sport utility vehicle, and one (1) full size sedan; six (6) cylinder or higher engine; am/fm radio; air conditioning; vehicles must be a 2004 with low mileage less than 8,000 miles. Contractor must be able to provide preventive and repair maintenance of vehicles; vehicles must be able to be replaced at any time at the direction of the Government. The Lessee, the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, as an agency of the United States Government, is self-insured and shall be considered so in this motor vehicle lease agreement; Any liability of the FBI for personal injuries or property damages arising out of the performance of this motor vehicle lease agreement shall be determined in accordance with the terms and procedures of the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and applicable federal law or laws. State law will control liability issues to the extent cognizable under the FTCA. The appropriate jurisdiction for claims which may arise out of this motor vehicle lease agreement shall be determined in accordance with appropriate Federal Law. In the event an FBI employee conducting official business during the possession and use of the vehicles in injured, the FBI agrees to process and forward any claims for employee compensation to the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) pursuant to the Federal Workman?s Compensation Statues (Title 5 U.S.C. Section 3101 et seq) and pertinent regulations promulgated by the USDOL. The period of performance is for one (1) year and begins with the signature of the contracting officer.
