- ISSUE DATE: 04/06/04. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to repair exterior walls at the U. S. Coast Guard Loran C Station Caribou, 68 Green Ridge Rd. Caribou Maine (Aroostook County). The work includes: removing and replacing 20 courses of existing 12 IN X 8 IN X 16 IN concrete block at the south and east elevations, and providing new 12 IN X 8 IN X 16 IN concrete block, including a new bond beam; Removing cracked/damaged concrete block at a high radiation enclosure and at various additional locations shown on drawings, and providing new concrete block in the same locations; Removing, reinstalling, and reconnecting various items attached to the concrete block in areas where the block is replaced; Painting new and existing concrete block after masonry work is completed, and painting exposed portions of the existing concrete foundation; Reconnecting existing grounding straps, and providing new copper grounding conductors in the cores of the new block, and incidental related work. The estimated cost range of this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 04/06/04. The due date for receipt of proposals is scheduled for 05/05/04 at 2:00 pm. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Part 19, and is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 238140 and the size standard is $12.0 million.
