Description
The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a commercial Request for Quotes (RFQ) for emergency drydock repairs of the USCGC BOLLARD (WYTL 65614), a 65 Foot ?D? Class Harbor Tug. The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued on or about 25 March 2004 with quotes due on 7 April 2004 at 2:00 P.M. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) web page at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail if requested. Please contact Lorraine Arciniega at (757) 628-4647 or larciniega@mlca.uscg.mil for assistance using FEDBIZOPPS. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPPS also contains an optional automatic notification service. The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and the NAICS is 336611. The Home pier of the vessel is New Haven, CT. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period is five (5) calendar days beginning on or about April 19, 2004. The place of performance for the vessel is geographically restricted to the protected waters of their assigned area of operations, no open water transits and restricted to protected waters from Woodshole, MA to New York, NY.. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment necessary to perform emergency drydock repairs to the USCGC BOLLARD including but not limited to the following Base and Option Items: (1) Preserve Underwater Body, (2) Provide Temporary Messing and Berthing; (3) Emergency Drydocking, (A) Composite Labor Rates, (B) GFP Report in accordance with solicitation section H, and (Z) Laydays. Funds are available for this procurement. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set Aside. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about 25 March 2004.
