- Description
- The Helena National Forest, Helena, Montana is seeking installation of a government-furnished Nortel Meridian Option 11 with Call Pilot located at the Supervisor's Office, Helena, MT; installation of a government-furnished Nortel MICS phone system at the Helena Tanker Base, Helena, MT; upgrading of a government-furnished Nortel MICS phone system located at the Helena Ranger District, Helena, MT; upgrading of a government-furnished Nortel MICS phone system located at the Townsend Ranger District, Townsend, MT; and upgrading of a government-furnished Nortel CICS phone system at the Helena Interagency Dispatch Center, Helena, MT. The new system will tie five offices together in a star configuration through point-to-point tie lines. The completed system will be an integrated telephone system with four-digit dialing between all locations and centralized voice mail. Currently these locations have disparate phone systems and are set up as key systems. The new phone system will have DID providing individual extensions at each desktop. Voicemail, centralized at the Helena National Forest Supervisor's Office, will provide voicemail accounts for all extensions. The Forest Service will arrange for the installation of all involved T1 lines, ls/gs trunks, and DID numbers. The Forest Service will also provide all CSU/DSU units.
