- Description
- The Strategic Systems Programs intends to contract with The Boeing Company, BMC3 & Strategic Systems, Anaheim, CA to provide the following efforts for the TRIDENT Navigation subsystem: (1) engineering support services, logistics support, and problem investigations for US and UK owned Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigator (ESGN) navigation inertial equipment, (2) modification and repair of US and UK ESGN instruments and components, (3) upgrade of ESGN Drift Station, (4) TRIDENT II (D5) East Coast Modernization, and (5) development of TRIDENT II (D5) Backfit TR-C3 Software. The proposed contract will contain both United States and United Kingdom sponsored efforts for FY 05 and an option for FY 06 efforts. Boeing is the only known source with the critical experience, expertise, personnel, facilities, and in-depth knowledge of the TRIDENT inertial navigation subsystem required to perform the subject effort.
