- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Optech International, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for one year of warranty service for the SHOALS-1000T Lidar Survey System. The warranty cover s services including remote technical assistance, software support, on-site hardware assistance and support, priority access to a substitute (loaner) system, supplementary training, and preventive maintenance. Market research indicates that Optech Internat ional is uniquely qualified to furnish the required services. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. Any firm believing itself capable of meeting this requirement may submit technical documentation to establish its ability. Documentation must be submitted to the POC within 15 days of the electronic posting of this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered sole ly for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Parts 12 and 13, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Point of contact is Mrs. Linda Stanley.
