Description
The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans has a requirement for a Contractor to furnish all labor, material, parts, equipment, fuel, oil, transportation, equipment and dock facilities to replace the port main engine, Detroit Diesel 12V-71 Turbocha rged, Intercooled, along with the Twin Disc MG-514 marine gear for a complete shop overhaul or exchange for engine and marine gear for the M/V Burrwood. The M/V Burrwood is a 58-foot survey vessel located at the USACE, Calcasieu Locks Mooring Dock, Lake C harles, LA. Contractor's facility must be within 125 miles of Morgan City, LA. Solicitation DACW29-04-T-0043 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being procured as a firm fixed price contract under FAR 12, Commercial Item. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 7699 and the business size is $6M. The NAICS code is 811310. This solicitation is issued as 100% small business set aside. Request for this solicitation shall be in writing, stating the solicitation number, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accepted. Proposals are due on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 1530 hours. NOTE: Contractor must be registered with Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration ma y be obtained by calling 1-800-334-3414 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Registering may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in orde r to be eligible for timely award.
