- Pending availability of funding, the U.S. Department of Education requires the services of a contractor to ensure the equitable participation of children enrolled in private nonprofit schools that choose to participate in Title V, Part A - Innovative Programs in the state of Nebraska. These children must be provided with secular, neutral, and non-ideological services, materials, and equipment or other benefits. A contractor has to be a person or association, agency, or corporation who or that, in the provision of Title V, Part A services is independent of the private school and any religious organization. The control of Title V, Part A funds and the title to any equipment and materials purchased with those funds must remain in the public agency. No Title V, Part A funds may be paid to any private school, and the title to equipment and materials may not be transferred to any private school. The opening date is on or around April 13, 2004, the closing date is May 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Requests for copies of RFP ED-04-R-0012 may be made by telephone, Internet, mail, telegram or in person. All requests must reference the RFP number and the title of the RFP.
