Description
The National Hansen's Disease Programs requires services of a licensed Physical Therapist from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday except Federal holidays to perform PT treatments on patients with Hansen’s Disease. Therapist shall have a minimum of five years experience with wound care which includes conservative neuropathic foot treatment and prevention protocols ie. Foot screen, Total Contact Cast and Posterior Walking Splint fabrication. Duties include treatment of patients with neuropathic limb dysfunction secondary to Hansen’s Disease including foot screening, wound dressings, compression pumps and assisting in fabrication of splints, casts, foot models, foot orthoses and modifications of footwear; and performance of musculoskeletal and ADL services including performing physical therapy modalities, range of motion and strengthening exercises and ambulation training. This notice is not a request for proposals. The solicitation document (RFP) will be posted at fedbizopps.gov on or about December 15, 2003 and can be downloaded by looking in the main menu under HHS/office-Health Resources and Services Administration/locations-National Hansen’s Disease Programs. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be approximately thirty (30) days after issuance/posting of the RFP. This acquisition is being conducted under full and open competition. It shall be the officer’s responsibility to monitor the site for amendments to the solicitation (RFP). If you are unable to download the RFP, you may email a request for hard copy to sshumate@hrsa.gov. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures.
