Description

NA Project includes three components: 1) plugging 4 gaps in the Kenansville Lake east levee with fill material obtained from the Tucker borrow pit located northwest of the project work site or from other suitable sources that the Contractor may identify; 2) c onstruction of S-250E an overflow weir (160 ft) and structure with a 72-in. barrel culvert and 3) the excavation of the Knight/Southwest Kenansville Lake drainage connector. This east/west canal will connect to the Knight canal at the southwest corner of Kenansville Lake and provide better conveyance of floodwaters into Kenansville Lake. The excavated material will be hauled and placed in the borrow pit in the northwest portion of project site. Estimated period of performance is estimated to be 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 14 July 2003 with bids due on or about 13 August 2003 . This solicitation will be posted on our web site.
