Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to negotiate a Sole Source contract with KBA-Giori. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 6.302 and 15.002. Award will be made on a sole source basis to provide repair parts as listed on the attached list. KBA-Giori is the original equipment manufacturer of the existing NOTA-SAVE Generation 1 Units. These repair parts are not available from another known source. The attached listing contains spare parts for the NOTA-SAVE Units, Generation 1, used for on-line inspection of currency on intaglio currency presses. The resultant contract will exceed the simplified acquisition threshold and the procedures set forth in FAR Part 15 shall be used.
