- Description
- The Department of State, Office of Acquisitions, intends to award a sole source modification to increase the ceiling on contract S-LMAQM-00-D-0027 awarded to DynCorp International under full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the incumbent contractor under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for worldwide personal protective services. The job positions require extensive pre-deployment training and historical knowledge of the operating location/procedures. The ceiling will be increased from $114M to approximately $387.2M in order to continue current operations within the scope of the statement of work. A sudden increase in worldwide security requirements caused the original ceiling to become inadequate. The government anticipates a full and open solicitation for these requirements to be issued in the April - May timeframe. A draft RFP was FEDBIZOPPS posted on March 4, 2004 for public comment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest in this action by email to the Contracting Officer, Raymond Bouford, at BoufordRW@state.gov by 4PM on April 16, 2004.
