- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located at White Deer, Pennsylvania anticipates issuance of a solicitation for the installation of a complete fire alarm system to include smoke alarms, heat detectors, fibre optic cable loop, annunciation panel and fire sprinkler water mains at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Ft. Dix, New Jersey. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for this construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This project is a total 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238990, which contains a size standard of $12.0 million. The period of performance for the resulting contract is 730 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov. The projected issuance of solicitation IFB 21451-0034 will occur approximately April 8, 2004, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunity web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
