Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Habitat Conservation Division, Northeast Regional Office intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for On-The-Water Monitoring Services Supporting the New Bedford Harbor Restoration. The work in general is to provide for various services which will include Site and Harbor Inspections, Water Quality Monitoring and Development of a Brochures containing various information about the New Bedford Harbor. Contractors are required to furnish all applicable labor, material and equipment, including a vessel which must have a shallow draft, wide beam, and be able to comfortably transport the vessel crew plus four other passengers and scientific equipment, in all seasons. Proof of proper insurance coverage must also be submitted with the bid. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bid. The contract will be awarded with a base period of one year with four (4) one-year options. The size of the project is between $25,000 and $200,000 (including the 4 option periods). THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The NAICS code is 541990. The solicitation will be available on or about April 1, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. Bids will be due on or about May 4, 2004. All contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Information on getting registered may be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award, all bidders must have a Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) number.
