Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-04-T-0370 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-20 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The North American Industry Classification System code is 423910. The business size standard is NTE 5.0 million. The agency needs are for: ITEM 0001: QTY: 100 EACH Indoor Cycling Bike. One-piece frame with stainless steel seat post, seat slider and handlebar extension tube. Secure connection between tube and frame. Water bottle holder holds one liter bottle of any shape. Brake shroud protects braking mechanism from perspiration. High inertia drive system and direct drive gearing to simulate the feel of road riding. Emergency braking system. Corrosion-resistant zinc plated and powder coated frame with stainless steel hardware throughout. Fully adjustable seat position (fore and aft, up and down) with stainless steel locking pop pins. Height adjustable, multi-position rubber coated stainless steel handlebars with stainless steel locking pop pins. No screw-type locking pins. Bicycle componentry including cartridge bottom bracket and forged steel crank arms that will accept clipless pedals. Toe clips to keep foot securely attached to the pedal while riding. Easy to use resistance adjustment knobs with long life (minimum 6-months under commercial use) brake pads. Safety feature similar to the Schwinn Smart Release System that allows coasting during a sudden stoppage or loss of control by rider. Availability of training for government personnel. Certification of as many as 45 Government cycle training instructors to commercial standards, such as, Schwinn cycle training or Mad Dog Johnny G standards. Classes to be conducted on Okinawa, Japan. A minimum of two classes will be conducted. Warranty: Frame-15 Years, Parts-2 Years, Labor-1 Year. Maximum Weight Capacity of the rider: 300 lbs. ITEM 0002: QTY: 1 EACH Freight - Estimated shipping charge to Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, Tracy Depot, Bldg. 30 CCP, Tracy, CA 95376. All material awarded under this contract is expected to be delivered within 30 days after the order is placed with the successful offeror. Award will be made on an “all-or-none basis”.
