- The Inspector General Department of Defense (IG DoD) is hosting an Industry Day Conference on 30 March 2004 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway, 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202 to discuss the reliability of Financial Management Systems used by DoD to develop agency financial statements. The conference is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. E.S.T and conclude by 3:30 p.m. E.S.T. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide an information exchange opportunity between the IG DoD and Industry. Topics of discussions will consist of Contract strategy, Small Business participation, Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), Defense Contract Audit Agency, Working Papers, Security Briefings, and Contractor Independence. This conference is not intended to be a pre-proposal conference for any specific solicitation, but rather a general exchange of relevant information. Notification of intent to participate and inquiries may be directed to Ms. Krista Hayden at Krista.Hayden@navy.mil. Each firm will be allowed up to four (4) representatives. All parties interested in attending the Industry Day Conference must send the required notification no later than 22 March 2004. Following the presentations, contractors may submit comments, suggestions, and/or questions in writing. Written comments, suggestions, and/or questions must be received by Krista Hayden at Krista.Hayden@navy.mil, no later than 06 April 2004.
