Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract to perform channel maintenance dredging at the Mouth of the Columbia River, the Lower Columbia River navigation channel, and the Coos Bay entrance channel with all work oc curring in Clatsop, Coos, Columbia, Lincoln and Multnomah Counties in Oregon and Pacific, Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, and Clark Counties in Washington. Dredging and disposal of material shall be accomplished using trailing suction hopper dredge floating plant. Co ntractor required to commence work within 25 days of receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete the entire work not later than 160 calendar days (time stated for completion includes final cleanup of premises). Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation for Bid IFB W9127N-04-B-0005 will be available on or about 6 April 2004. Tentative bid opening is on or about 6 May 2004 or 30 days after issue. This procurement is open to both small and large business concerns. All interested responsible firms are invited to request a copy of the subject Invitation for Bids (IFB), in CD Rom format, at no charge, by registering on our website at https://www.nwp.u sace.army.mil. In addition, in order to do business with the Department of Defense contractors must enroll on the Central Contracting Register (CCR) www.ccr.gov.
