- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-04-Q-2899. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. This is 100% set-aside for small business. Size standard is 1000 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following item: ST3512 Rugged Computer System p/n ST-3512P/XGA/DP3, 1.4GHz/512MB/2X36WSCSI/speaker, 14 slot passive back plane, with 9 ISA, 4 PCI slots, 300W power supply, 110/220V 50-400Hz, CPU card (Cyber CPEC) with dual Pentium 1.4Ghz CPU with VIA Chip set, dual LAN, 2 serial, 1 parallel, EIDE/Floppy ports, video port, 512MB Ram, 1.44 MB Floppy Drive shock isolated, two 36GB WSCSI HD, removable, shock isolated, Adaptec Ultra 160 SCSI adapter, 12.1? XGA color TFT, 256K colors, Analog Video Interface Adapter, Attached keyboard with trackball, Internal Speaker, qty (10)_ Required delivery is 6 weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with IBI Systems Inc., Ft. Lauderdale, FL on a sole source basis. They are the only known source for these items because IBI manufactures the only known shipboard-hardened unit capable of withstanding rigorous use and heavy treatment of a submarine environment, and maintain its reliability and an integral part of the AASP program. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance; technical capability and past performance being slightly more important than price.
