Description

Item to be procured is 1,100 (One thousand, one hundred) each, Cam Assembly, Vertical, NSN 1010-01-123-6705, P/N 3269411. End Item is MK19 40mm Grenade Machine Gun (GMG). There is no option associated with this procurement. Cam Assembly consists of the vertical cam, block, cam and lever drive lock. The parts are close tolerance machined from steel 4130 chrome-molybdenum bar (aircraft quality). Welding per MIL-STD-1261, magnetic particle and chromium plate cam surface per QQ-C-320. The approximate size is 16.562 inches x 2 inches x 1.322 inches. Item requires phosphate coating IAW MIL-DT L-16232. Phosphate procedure must be approved by Government prior to production. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY2004 requirement. Estimated issue date for solicitation is 26 March 2004. This notice is provided for subcontracting purposes only, as this solicitation will be restricted to the following three vendors: General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Inc.(CAGE 05606), Marathon Technologies (CAGE 4Y985) and United Standard Industries, Inc. (CAGE 28210). This solicitation wil l be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.r ia.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested partie s to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Notes 22 and 26 apply.
