Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is SP3100-4054-3158. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-20. Line Item 0001 ? Carton Clamp 1 each @ _____________ each (Price quoted should be FOB Destination) Contractor shall provide item ____________ days after receipt of order. Carton Clamp Description: Carton Clamp, Sideshifting, Class II mounting size, bolt-on mounting type, arm/pad: standard articulating, aluminum backed, 7 inch width, 48 inch height, 40 inch length, pad facing, ? inch pad, aluminum backed, 55 durometer rubber, minimum opening range = 22 inches, maximum opening range = 84 inches, load backrest height 48.7 inches, load backrest width 36 inches, hydraulic feature, flow divider valve. Installation kit, Cascade Corporation p/n 659249 or equal. Four (4) position pressure regulator valve, Cascade Corporation p/n 660412 or equal. Visual pressure gauge, Cascade Corporation p/n 664158 or equal. Line Item 0002 ? The delivery and acceptance address for line items 0001 and 0002 shall be: Defense Distribution Center San Joaquin, Supply Branch, Warehouse 3 Tracy Site (SB3200), Tracy, CA 95376-5000. FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors ? Commercial Items (Jan 2004). FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999). The Government intends to award one purchase order as a result of this Request for Quotation. Award will be based on the quotation that provides the lowest total price for both contract line items and meets the technical acceptability standard. The following criterion will be used to establish the technical acceptability standard: submission of descriptive literature that clearly indicates the carton clamps in contract line items 0001 and 0002 quoted meets all the Government?s minimum requirements as indicated by the salient characteristics listed above. ?Descriptive literature? is defined as information (e.g., cuts, illustrations, drawings, and brochures) that is submitted as part of the proposal. Descriptive literature is required to establish, for the purpose of evalutation and award, details of the product quoted that are specified elsewhere in the solicitation and pertain to the significant elements such as (1) design; (2) materials; (3) components; (4) performance characterisitics; and (5) methods of manufacture, assembly, construction or operation. The term includes only information required to determine the technical acceptability of the quoted product. The failure of the descriptive literature to show that the product quote conforms to the requirements of this solicitation may result in the rejection of the quote.
