- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command for the PEO Combat Systems Joint Project Office intends to solicit offers for the Gladiator Tactical Unmanned Ground Vehicle (TUGV) System Demonstration and Development (SDD) effort and procure such effort on an other-than-full-and-open, best value basis. This is a proposed twenty-three (23) month effort to provide 6 systems. The type of contract anticipated is a cost-plus-incentive-fee, research and development contract. This effort is limited to Carnegie Melon University, Cage Code 00000 and Lockheed Martin Corporation Missile and Fire Control, Cage Code 64059 because award to any other sources would likely result in substantial duplication of cost and delay to the government that is not expected to be recovered through additional competition. From a Broad Agency Announcement which received fourteen competitive bids, CMU and Lockheed were awarded and have performed previous contracts for the initial Science & Technology effort for Gladiator. A DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) for this effort will be posted on the MARCOSYSCOM web site under Business Opportunities. Questions and comments on the DRAFT RFP are to be provided in writing no later than 22 March 2004 to the Government for review and response. No telephone requests will be accepted.
