Description
The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required to repair the maintenance hangar roof at the 109 Airlift Wing, Stratton Air National Guard Base, Schenectady County Airport, New York in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Stratton Air National Guard Base (ANG) in Scotia, NY has designed improvements to and the replacement of the complete roofing system for Building 2. The replacement system shall include work on both the low slope (flat roof) and the barrel vault that comp rises the maintenance bay. The existing building will remain fully operational for the entire period of construction activities and after completion of the proposed improvements. The project includes removal existing building roofing systems down to either the existing metal deck or to the existing concrete roof deck. Remove existing brick chimney system to down below the existing roofline, extending to the floor of the existing bo iler room. Remove existing rooftop mounted air handling equipment and re-install on new roof curbs. Remove existing gutters and downspouts as indicated on the Contract Drawings. Provide roofing systems, including all specified components, in accordance wi th specification sections 07542-1 and -2. Provide installation in accordance with all details outlined on the Contract Drawings and as specified in the Contract Specifications. Provide all flashing, counter-flashing, expansion joints and all other required roofing specialties in accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions and Contract Drawings. Provide new gutters and downspouts as indicated on the Contract Drawings and outlined in the specifications. Provide materials and labor for the removal and replacement of 24 GA. roof decking per Contract Drawings at locations agreed upon with Contracting Officer. Install new rooftop-mounted natural gas piping systems to each rooftop-mounted air handling unit. Piping shall be installed on sleepers in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Install new roof curbs for each air handling unit, as identifie d and required by the Contract. Repair, retrofit and/or raise all roof drains as required by the Contract Drawings. Reflash all existing vents, exhaust fans, and any other roofing penetrations required for the complete installation of the new roofing syste m. Install new roof-mounted conduit and wiring to each of the air handling units as required by the Contract Drawings. Install new lightning protection system for the barrel vault roof and submit test reports to the Contracting Officer’s Representativ e. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance period is 150 calendar days. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The NAICS Code applicable to this project is 238160. The small business size standard is a three year averaged annual gross receipt of $12,000,000. This actio n is being considered for 100% set aside for HUBZone Small Business Concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing as early as possible but must be received not later that fifteee n calendar days from the date of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone firm, (b)a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similiar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, point of contact and telephone numbers, and dollar amounts, (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to th e maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single project and aggregate totals. All information is to be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all informa tion requested will result in a contractor being not considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by the close of business fifteen calendar days from the date of this notice, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Demonstration Program without further notice.
