Description
It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to purchase a Fluorescence Imaging System manufactured by Intracellular Imaging Inc., 1776 Mentor Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45212. The systems specifications are as follows: One (1) each, Incyt Standard Im Fluorescence Imaging System, and one (1) each, DVC 1312 Camera, installation and training of the system. The Incyt Standard Im Fluorescence Imaging system includes: 1) Imaging Workstation: Intel Pentium IV 2.6 gHz based PC (256K cache), 256 Mbytes RAM, 2 each 40 Gbyte HD, 1.44 Mbyte 3.5" floppy drive, CD-RW Drive, color graphic accelerator card, network card, Windows XP operating environment and 17" non-interlaced monitor; 2) Excitation Illumination Source: 300 W compact Xenon arc illuminator with variable intensity illumination and self contained ultra-stable power supply; 3) Filter sets: filter set for ratiometric dye of choice; 4) Low-Light CCD Camera: Cooke Pixel Fly 12 bit CCD camera with interface board, 640 X 480 pixels; 5) Microscope Relay Lens; 6) Liquid Light Guide; 7) Control cabling; 8) Olympus IX 70 microscope adaptor; 9) Software: InCyt IM2 Dual-Wavelength Imaging Software and InCyt Im1 Single-Wavelength Imaging Software. The DVC 1312 Camera includes: 12 bit cooled ccd 1284 X 1024 resolution. The bidder shall submit with the proposal the delivery time, prompt payment discount terms, shipping charges, Dun & Bradstreet number (DUNS) and the Taxpayer Identification number (TIN). This acquisition is solicited as a total small business set-aside. Proposals are due on March 24, 2004 and they will be evaluated on conformance to the Government’s requirements and price. This requirement is under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339111 with size standard 500 employees. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial prices are fair and reasonable and that discussions are not necessary. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which if timely received shall be considered by the agency. Proposals must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lund, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Rockledge Building 2, Suite 6149, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, Maryland 20817-7902, Attention: Ms. Cecilia Morales, Purchasing Agent. Fax Proposals will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
